St Lucia Re Cap

Brian and I just got back from our 6 night vacation in St Lucia! It was amazing, the pictures we saw online are really what the island looks like. We did a lot of much needed relaxing. We did swimming in the pool and ocean, laying out by both as well. Read a book and a half while we were there. We also did a few dives off the Piton coast. We were at an adult only resort which was amazing, there were a ton of activities for us to do there as well and Brian wanted to do them all.

We played croquet, cricket, beach volleyball, pool volleyball, water balloon toss, paddle boarding, kayaking, countless couples competitions, Karaoke, we were Newlywed game contestants, and the list goes on and on. There was a good mix of relaxing and activities! And we got lots of points and earned prizes :)

The food was amazing, very fancy, who knew churros could look so fancy?! The resort was an all inclusive so we would eat at the restaurants and when we were done there was no waiting for the check we could just leave (that took some getting use to)

The beach outside the resort was amazing, the water was warm and calm so you could just hang out for hours. The diving took a lot of the day when we did go so we didn't get as much in as we had originally planned but with so much to do it worked out.

Most of the people at the resort were newlyweds on their Honeymoons or couples celebrating an anniversary so we were the odd balls there on vacation but it was fun being with so many couples who were so in love. It was a fun environment. Brian is already wishing we lived there, the weather was great and the beaches were beautiful and the locals were so kind!

We really felt spoiled, the staff made sure our every need and request was met. Sure wish we could have brought a few of them home with us ;)

There were also a few cats at the resort ( there to keep the rats away) they were spoiled too, the guests (including us) fed them well. Brian is totally a fan of cats now. There were a few dogs on the beach but we could never get them to come to us like that cats, oh well.

The resort offered internet for a cost but we were told it was super slow so we opted not to get it. So we had a week of no cell phone or internet service. Though it was hard to get use to at first it really made things that much more relaxing. We had no worries that whole time.

Overall it was a great trip and we are already planning where we will go next. Vacations need to be a bigger part of our busy lives.

Our resort beach

I think this was chocolate cake of some sort

Waiting for dinner, we both got a little burned, we were just having too much fun and forgot to re apply our sun screen

Swan they made to reserve someones spot by the pool

The main pool- this was right outside our room

Brian playing cricket, I just watched with the other wives on this one, the men had a lot of fun with it

Even the butter was fancy

Churros
Chocolate moose

"Stubby" this cat was our favorite he had a stub for a tail and a bite out of his ear but he had the best territory of all the cats and was the fattest too

The Pavillion- restaurant right next to the pool, and only one that offered ice cream :)
On our way to the dive boat

The flash was weird on this one but was one of the few that I took of us so had to include it

This kitty was happy to eat the dinner I wasn't going to finish but scratched me when I tried to pet it

I loved the little baskets they put the french fries in, really the presentation of the food was amazing we were always excited to see what they would bring out

Apple Pie

Another pic of us going to the dive boat, this one has more of Brian in it
