We went to Oahu for the third time this last year. It was definitely a different trip this time, having a baby with us. We have traveled a lot this year so we had a pretty good idea how things would go. We lucked out on the flight there to have the bulk head seat so we had LOTS of floor space. This allowed for Liam to nap for part of the flight and to play around on the floor when he was awake. We did have to walk the isles some but it was better than we had anticipated.
Once we arrived we had the worst experience getting a rental car. But once we got that straightened out we were on the road to the Watkins in Laie. And that is where the fun began. The first few days were pretty hot and Liam was pretty cranky about that and the time difference. We enjoyed the beach though! Then the rest of the trip was pretty much rained out and accompanied by flash flooding. We drove to the other side of the island most days to get some sun and time at the beach. This worked out in our favor because Liam would get him naps in while we drove. We had so much fun and I loved that Liam had a little play mate while we were there. We played lots of games, watched nearly all the Harry Potter movies, went to the aquarium, and so many other fun things. Can't wait to see all our friends again in December here in Utah.
