Grand Junction

This last weekend we went to Grand Junction to visit my sister Morgan. My parents and brothers also came up! It was so fun to see everyone. We drove up Friday after work and school and got there for dinner. After dinner we went up to the Monument. It was so pretty up there, lots of red rocks but lots of greenery too.

Abby sprained her ankle when we went running last week so she was booted to the back by herself so she could be more comfortable. She had her head on the arm rest like this most of the drive lol it  reminded me of a kid put in the corner for time out.

This was the view from the caverns we went to on Saturday. It was a really cool tour and we got to see a lot. Brian wished that we had done the "special" tour where you get to be a real cave explorer with all the gear and everything.

Brian and me at the look out off one of the cavern hallways.

Brian inside the cave. It was a fun day with everyone. After it was all done I thought of how this would have been quite the event even just a few months ago for Brian. He has made so much progress and has so much energy and strength now compared to before. We are loving how much more active we can be now. We have been doing nightly runs/walks around the neighborhood ranging from 3-5 miles and he is not getting too tired out from them. He is the one pushing me now to run faster ;) Hopefully this is the new norm and we will be able to maintain things through exercise and diet. Brian's long time friend Mark returned from a mission in Indonesia this last week and is teaching us a whole new side of eating healthy so we will see what progress we can make with a few additional changes.
